Duane Elgin

Author, Visionary, and Citizen-Voice Activist

Duane Elgin is an internationally recognized author, speaker, and social visionary known for exploring the deeper trends transforming our world. He holds an MBA and an MA in economic history and has authored influential books such as Choosing Earth, Awakening Earth, Voluntary Simplicity, and The Living Universe. Duane has served as a senior social scientist on the Presidential Commission on the American Future and at SRI International, contributing to numerous studies on the long-range future. He co-founded three non-profits promoting media accountability and received Japan’s prestigious Goi Peace Award for his contributions to a more sustainable and spiritual global culture. Duane co-directs the Choosing Earth Project.
